Description: This large, old Afghan bead with dangles as handmade during the mid-1900's along the Old Silk Road of Central Asia. More measurements are listed at the end of the description. It is in excellent condition, with beautiful incised designs and dangles that sway freely with movement. The opening is about 19-20 cm...large enough for a good sized cord to fit through. It was made with very sturdy metal, and does not bend. It is excellent condition, with a warm age-patina and virtually no wear patterns. Please note that patina reflects the light when photographed, so items look brighter in images than they really are. This wonderful bead is perfect for belly dance, theater and stage production, and tribal crafting. I placed it on a new display-cord to show relative size.
