Very Rare Antique Lenzkirch Tallcase (Grandfather) Clock...Excellent Condition!!

Description: This is a very rare and high quality antique Lenzkirk tallcase (grandfather) clock which is in excellent, all original condition. Lenzkirk has always been known for their very high quality clocks, which were mostly wall clocks,making this tallcase clock quite rare. There are no serial numbers on the movement so we don't know the exact date it was made, but it was in the Victorian era 1837-1901. It has all brass (very heavy) weights, pendulum, and clock face which are in fine, original condition. All moldings on the door and throughout are in fine original condition with no chips or scratches, as is the original beveled glass door. It has deep baritone Westminster chimes which chime every 15 minutes and it has always run with great accuracy. It measures 82 inches tall, 21.5 inches wide, and 11 5/8 inches in depth. We purchased this clock in the early 1980's from a clock shop in Mt. Angel, Oregon from the owner who had the clockin his own home and described it as "the Cadillac of clocks" and have since found that statement to be true. We have not run the clock overnight for several years as it does have quite loud chimes which interfered with my wife's sleep and we live in a moderately small house. We are now forced to sell the clock as we are downsizing to move into Independent living.I was going to have the clock cleaned before selling it, however, I was advised by a local clock shop that it was best to sell it as is and after it was moved it would be cleaned and adjusted. The clock is best suited for a larger home, office, school, etc. but...IT IS A RARE GEM!! .
