Description: Vintage 1930s Primitive Hand Made 18" Toaster Cover Shelf Sitter FOLK ART Doll Click images to enlarge Description VINTAGE FOLK ART DOLL Wonderful vintage 1930s hand made primitive doll measuring about 18" in height and about the same in width when the skirts are spread out. Featuring arms stuffed with firm cotton, her features are sewn with thread - red lips are felt - head cover is red cotton, and she even sports little celluloid ring earrings. Wearing a faded polka dot, long sleeve dress with red banded apron and even a little polka dot pocket, she sits on a wood block covered with old padded material. She appears to be completely hand made - I'm guessing designed as a toaster cover or possibly a shelf sitter due to the voluminous skirts. Condition is very nice with no tears, holes, or damage to the fabric or body - lots of fading to the dress and some loose threads to the eye area.
