Vintage 1950s STUDIO STYLE Toque, Huge Fluffy White Ostrich Plumes CASPAR DAVIS

Description: A very dramatic and stylish vintage high fashion hat by Caspar Davis of Hollywood. This is from the Studio Style line which was created with Hollywood movie studios to adapt hats worn in actual movies of the day. So you could wear a real Hollywood movie star style hat! Dates to the late 1940s to early 1950s. Made of fine imported fur-felt in an unusual shade of burnished gold, it is a toque style. Wrapping around the hat are huge, extra fluffy and frilly creamy white ostrich plumes! Looks good worn in a variety of ways. It has a Cossack look to it, perhaps a Russian influence. I wonder what film inspired this beauty and who wore that hat onscreen? There are a comb sewn underneath to help keep the hat secure on the head. What a beauty!
