Description: Vintage Panasonic RX-5050 am/fm stereo cassette boombox in good condition. This mid-1980s unit shows normal wear and is fully functional. All basic functions have been tested and are working properly. Cassette deck plays tapes clearly and at correct speed. Play/FFWD/RW/Stop/Eject/Pause have been tested and work correctly. FFWD & RW operate smoothly and quickly. I did not test 'Record' or mic function, but I do guarantee them to work. Tape counter works properly. Four-band graphic EQ functions correctly. All sliders work pretty smoothly. I shot some DeOxit contact cleaner into sliders because there was a small amount of static. It mostly went away after cleaning. All top-panel controls work properly. Volume & Balance controls are mostly static-free, but I did detect a tiny bit intermittently as I did not clean these pots. Tuner knob, dial, and needle function smoothly and accurately. All LEDs & indicators illuminate. Radio and cassette audio is clear & balanced across both channels. All drivers are intact and working. Cassette mechanisms appear to be in good condition. I cleaned playback heads, but didn't do any extensive cleaning to the transport. Tape mechanisms are still pretty dusty. Cosmetically, boombox shows average wear and looks pretty good overall. No significant damage or blemishes. Unit has lots of minor scuffs, dings, scratches, faded plastic, etc. Tuner display lens has some visible scratches. Wire speaker grills have some small dents and they're dusty. Antenna is fully intact but has a couple of dents. It also may not be fully extending. Battery compartment is clean and door is present. Power cord works, but may not be original. No evidence of smoke or moisture exposure. Please examine photos carefully for details. Unit shows wear, but is still in much better overall condition than most boomboxes I run across from this era. Unit guaranteed to arrive in described condition. Please inspect & test upon receiving and notify me directly if there are any issues. Boombox will be double boxed and packaged securely.
