Description: Vintage Akari ISAMU Noguchi Stretchers for Washi paper shades. Late ‘50’s- Early 60’s, Bonniers. Each of 2 stretchers measure 20 3/8” x 4 3/4”, 1 sodder per side 5” from top in one, 1.5” from base on other. POSSIBLY for models 9A, 20A, or 20D. Both are in tact , with no apparent structural weakness, or tragic flaws. Black finish in overall good condition, with a few small rough spots, slight discoloration in these spots. Please review photos closely to further determine condition as they are an integral part of the listing. Stretchers are from an Akari Dealer’s estate collection, which was supplied by Bonniers in the early days of the light sculptures. These are some of the few remaining components of a large collection from this early era of Akari Light Sculpture.
