Description: On offer today is a vintage book by renowned English eccentric Quentin Crisp, who was one of the first to be publicly "out" as a gay man.His books are witty, acerbic and full of unsentimental self-observations.He was born in 1908 and 'came out' in the 1930s. His first book, The Naked Civil Servant was published in 1968, and a TV movie was made in the UK of his story in the early 1970s, starring John Hurt. He went on to move to the US, and wrote more books, which I will be listing shortly. I'm not a book expert, but I do believe this is a UK first-edition copy. CONDITION:"Acceptable".Wear and a torn area on the dust-jacket.Minor overall wear otherwise for its age. No writing, no dog-ears.No odors or scents. MEASUREMENTS:7" by 4.5" by .75"174 pages. It'll be great for someone interested in the other writings of Quentin Crisp!
