Description: British Anchor US Capitol Plate Fresh from a Dallas estate, this is a collectible plate commemorating the US Capitol in Washington DC and other early historical buildings designed by British Anchor. This piece has a mark on back that reads, "No8 Ye Olde Historical Pottery Staffordshire England British Anchor England B." The pattern is blue transferware on white china and depicts early historical buildings around the rim including Mount Vernon, the Executive Mansion (The White House), Congressional Library, State War & Navy Departments, and the US Capitol building in the center. The border is decorated with flowers and foliage. The plate measures 9 1/8" across. This piece is in overall EXCELLENT CONDITION with NO cracks, crazing or deep scratches! Under extreme scrutiny, you may notice a couple of light scratches from normal handling. There are 2 tiny nicks on edge at top of plate-shown in last 2 photos. Nothing excessive or distracting!
