Description: Vintage Camera Secret Storage Box Figurine, Resin, 4x4x5", IMAX, Bookend (1 piece) This auction is for a nicely detailed, masterfully designed resin replica of a vintage Brownie or Box Camera with a secret storage section for hiding small valuables, keys, jewelry, etc.The back panel is hinged at the bottom and drops open to reveal a black velvet lined storage area; a strong magnet secures closure.Designed as a pair of bookends for IMAX, per online research, this auction is for one decorative piece only, not for 2 bookends.There is no maker's mark.Maker, date, technique and origin are unknown.Outside measures about 4 1/4" high, 4" wide and 5 1/4" deep. The inside storage section measures about 3 1/2" h, 2 3/4" wide and 4" deep.Weighs 2 pounds, 3 ounces before packaging.Makes an impressive presentation. Item is in good, pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The surface is deliberately aged to look vintage so any surface wear from use or storage is not obvious. The hinge is solid (2 tiny screws can be tightened or loosened, as desired). The black velvet lining is in good condition with only minor wear, if any. Any irregularities in shape, glaze, flea bites, etc. would be from the manufacturing process.Lightly wiped for photos.
