Description: Vintage Eugene Oregon Swimming Medal All Area Championship Register Guard 60s D Please check the pictures to examine the detail, checking the pictures and item description for condition. Recently I purchased a box lot of swimming medals and patches from an auction in Eugene, Oregon. The majority are vintage from the 1960s. This pre-owned medal is as found. The medal has a pewter gray tone finish with a white ribbon. It is highlighted by raised a recessed details. The obverse features a representation of a man swimming within a shield shape with a mountain scene in the background. It states, Eugene Register Guard (Newspaper for Eugene Oregon) All Area Championship. The reverse is flat and it has not been engraved. There is a dedication written on old masking tape that is dated 1968. I have not tried to remove the tape. If you like swimming sports medals please check my other listings. The medal including the ribbon is approximately 3 1/4 inches by approximately 1 3/8 inches at the widest points.
