Description: We are selling this vintage Fenton swung vase that we found at an estate sale. It is a beautiful green. The glass has bubbles and is wavy at the top which is normal with genuine swung glass. Swung glass is formed by the glassblower picking up the glass by the neck and swinging it. As it is swung the glass stretches forming the fingers. Because of this technique it is hard to find two swung glass pieces that look exactly alike. "Fenton" is pressed into the base of the vase although it is not as clear as with other Fenton pieces I have seen. With loops (or with better eyes!) it is clear that it says "Fenton". It measures just over 8" at its highest point, the tip of the tallest finger. The owner bought it brand new in the 1950's.We represent our listings to the best of our ability in pictures and descriptions.
