They stopped production of the custom series because high speed tool steel was too hard to work with. They continued manufacturing the designs as the Presentation series with stainless steel blades, walnut handles and a soft grip handle. This Gerber Custom Series knife has a Rockwell hardness of 60 and a Sambar stag handle with finger grooves, 4-3/4 inch blade, overall length 9-3/4 inches, the high speed steel blade is hard enough to cut into other steel and provides an extremely sharp and lasting edge. New, never sold by dealer. A rare find for a serious knife collector. <><>
