Description: This vintage Gillette razor set from the 1930s is a must-have for any collector. The set includes a Goodwill #160 razor and an Art Deco baseplate, both made of gold-plated brass. The razor was manufactured in the United States and is not handmade. The most common version of the Goodwill is the Standard Goodwill #160. The indented #160 cap was designed to accept the 'reverse studs' of all Goodwills made up from NEW GILLETTE parts. The #160 guard was a NEW GILLETTE guard that had not had the centre slot milled, but had two diamond reverse studs created in a punch press. By reverse studs, I mean that the studs went through or into the cap of the guard, rather than the studs being placed in the cap, and going through the guard." Nice gold finish on the handle with a typical fissure towards the neck. Baseplate has a unique art deco design that you usually see on the top cap. The set is completed with a gold tone blade blank with one vintage Thin Gillette Blade. The case is in very nice shape.
