Description: Hammersley & Co Tea Cup and Saucer 4117. Very pretty teacup and saucer that dates from the late thirties through forties. There is a great deal of hand painted gold detailing on both the cup and saucer and finely handpainted flowers and foliage in the bowl of the cup and center of the saucer. The teacup and saucer are plainly from the same line, but the backstamps are a different color from each other; and the handpainted flowers are a viola in the cup and an aster on the saucer. So - matching, but not a perfect match. In beautiful vintage condition, no chips or cracks. The gilding is still clear and bright. Clean, hand washed, and ready to use. It would make a lovely gift, especially filled with fine chocolates! Cup is 2 inches high, 4 5/8 rim to handle, 3 3/4 wide. Saucer is 5 3/8 wide. Shipped quickly and packed with great care. Shipping is generated by the US Post Office based on your zone and distance from our MI location, and we do not mark it up. Default shipping is US Ground Advantage; a faster but a bit more costly option - US Priority Mail- is also available when checking out, if you would prefer. Packages are insured for their sold price, excluding shipping costs, and all refunds due to breakage will be divided by the number of items in the package (i.e. no full refunds for one item broken out of a set.)
