Vintage Holmes & Edwards 1940s Youth Sterling Inlaid Flatware ~ Service For 12

Description: Presented is a beautiful vintage silverplate flatware set made by Holmes & Edwards (IS) that showcases a nice Art Deco style that is sure to impress. Crafted in the 1940s from high-quality silverplate, this set is not only beautiful but also durable. This is the "Youth" pattern that is perfect for any occasion. Each piece is intricately inlaid, adding an extra touch of elegance to the set. This is a 99 piece set with the anti-tarnish storage box. Included are: 12 Dinner Knives - 9 1/4" with stainless blades 12 Large Spoons - Technically these are 8 1/2" serving spoons 13 Soup Spoons - 7" 12 Salad Forks - 6 3/4" 12 Dinner Forks - 7 5/8" 24 Teaspoons - 6 3/16" 12 Butter Knives 1 Master Butter Knife 1 Sugar Spoon Storage Box with anti-tarnish felt. The box does have some scratches and dings. The silverware has been lightly cleaned and polished, but there is still some remaining tarnish. There is some light scratching on the silverware. It looks like there may be some silver loss on the back of some dinner fork tines and one salad fork tine (I tried to get a couple of pictures of this). Some of the salad forks have a slightly different angle than the others, but they are all marked the the Holmes and Edwards (IS) makers mark. I took a picture to illustrate what I’m talking about.
