These cameos contain images or scenes and have been hand painted into reverse carved glass molded cabochons. These miniature pieces of art are part of the Victorian era and originated and manufactured in West Germany. They are very intricate and require so much hand detail that it has become cost prohibitive to manufacture them in today's economy. These intaglios have become highly sought after rarities and collectors items. These "surviving" crystals are not new items and exhibit small imperfections but they do not impair the beauty of each piece.....
