Description: This is an absolutely stunning sterling pendant featuring an oval Connemara marble cabochon surrounded by marcasites. It likely dates to the 1960s and measures approx. 2.75 inches from the top of the bale to the bottom of the pendant. Connemara marble, which originates in the west of Ireland, comes in varying shades of green and this particular cabochon is a mesmerizing deep mossy green. In very good vintage condition but PLEASE NOTE: It is missing one small marcasite at the bottom of the pendant. This is very hard to detect without a loupe and doesn't take away from the overall beauty of the piece. Stamped Irish Sterling on the back, along with the letters IS. It also has tiny hallmarks at the top of the back of the pendant near the bale. A special and hard-to-find piece! (The box in photos is for display purposes only.)
