Made of porcelain china by the renowned MK China Company in Czechoslovakia, this handsome plate is a beautiful piece of collectible memorabilia. It features details of the London coat of arms which includes a pair of dragons bearing a shield with a red cross and red upright sword in the upper left quarter. The design combines emblems of the patron saints of England and London. The Latin motto of the city "Domine Dirige Nos" on the plate translates to "Lord, Guide Us". A primitive form of the crest first appeared in use as early as year 1381. The plate measures 9-1/2" in diameter. It has a broadly scalloped decorative gold edge.
