VINTAGE MAH JONG BAKELITE BUTTERSCOTCH 152 TILES MAH JONGG

Description: Circa 1950's vintage original E.S. Lowe Mah Jong set, Bakelite, complete with 152 tiles. Set includes 152 carved and painted tiles, 4 racks, working case, betters wheel, 2 die. 4 colored racks (blue, green, red & 2 x yellow). All set and ready to go for American play. Faux brown Alligator skin case with handle & latches, the hinges and latches are worn but work and there is wear to exterior. Swooping crane 1 bams, floral dots, Mah-Lowe jokers. All tiles in excellent condition, paint and carving is incredibly strong. Complete set with 36 each 1-9 bams, dots and craks, 12 3 of each dragons with nicely framed white dragons and classic Lowe red and green dragons, 16 winds with 4 each, 8 flowers including a set of seasonal flowers and men at work, 4 each, numbered 1-4. 2 mah-lowe jokers and 6 stickered tiles that are original to set. All tiles natural to the set. There is a pair of red plastic die, a betters wheel, a key to the case (untested) and 4 tile racks with marbled bakelite trays and marbled E ends, metal sections of trays all marked mah-lowe with age and plenty of counters/chips.
