Description: This vintage Navajo concho belt is in the style of a 1st phase Navajo concho belt as it has all the attributes of a 1st phase. It is old and appears to be a 1st phase Navajo Concho Belt. There are 7 large conchos & Buckle which meet the criteria of 1st phase Navajo concho belts. The Buckle insert for strap is cut out, not soldered. The triangle open cut inserts in each concho with cut out for strap insert, is not soldered. The buckle has 2 small repairs that are unseen from the top but underneath you can see slightly it was soldered which tells that it was worn down usually caused by age. The handmade stamp work are of that period. The belt and colored strap is new. It’s easy to change a strap if so desired. The 7 conchos measure: 4 1/2” inch X 3 3/4” inch.
