Description: Beautiful early-midcentury summer-weight quilt, North Carolina Lily pattern in Easter colors. 90" x 76". Solid white backing. The quilt is clean and very stable and the dense hand-quilting is beautiful - 10" per inch. A very talented seamstress made this quilt. Unfortunately some of the fabrics have not aged well and there are areas where the fabric is worn through and fraying, allowing the batting to show and there is one puncture that goes through to the backing. I hate to call a quilt of this quality a "potential cutter", but alas, it's being listed as such. It's such a shame - the quilting and the work that went into this is just amazing!! The pattern and colors are gorgeous. It certainly could still be used and enjoyed - it is still very sturdy even with the worn areas. It was clean when I purchased it. Even so, I gave it a bath to freshen it, and would never have done that were the quilt in a weak condition. I'd love to find a new home for this quilt where it's quality is appreciated!!
