Description: Beautiful heavy bookends in great condition. Each cast with "Peterborough Cathedral West Front" on the front edge of the base. Slightly different than other models I've seen from 1928. I cannot date these but they are certainly unique. Also most likely by Connecticut Foundry but there are no markings on them to indicate the foundry. They are in vintage used condition with scratches, scuffs, and other miscellaneous signs of use and age on them. They measure approximately 5 inches tall and 4 3/4 inches wide. The base is approximately 1 1/2 inches deep. I believe the bookends are made of cast iron. A magnet does stick to them. They have an antiqued bronze finish. I have provided 11 pictures to help you assess their condition. The bookends are sold as is, and all sales are final with no refund. If you have any questions or concerns, send me a message. Banana and books for scale, not included.
