Description: Vintage reclaimed solid brass marine grade large surface mount twist latch with hook style strike plate in good working condition. There were seven sets removed from a ship in painted, rough condition. The paint was peeled off after multiple cycles of ultrasonic cleaning. During their long service, the latches developed a unique non-uniform patina with some uniformity within the whole lot. The pictured latch is a good representative of the lot. The latches can be polished, chemically treated or mounted as is. No screws included.
