In this Russian folk tale, Ilya Muromets, a valiant youth, encounters the mighty knight Svyatogor. Fearing the knight, Ilya hides in a tree but is discovered by Svyatogor's wife, who coerces him into her husband’s pocket. When Svyatogor discovers Ilya, Ilya explains he was forced into the pocket by the wife. Svyatogor then kills his wife and makes Ilya his sworn brother. They travel together until they find a tomb where Svyatogor lies down and asks to be sealed in. Ilya tries to free him but cannot, and Svyatogor remains entombed forever.
