Description: Vintage solid sterling silver medium- to larger size and sturdy (approx. 1 9/16" tall with bale and jump ring; weight approx. 2.4 g) Orthodox Crucifix pendant featuring a detailed relief image of the Crucified Savior. Jesus the King is depicted reigning over His Kingdom through His humility and obedience to God's will as the Son of Man crowned with the Crown of Thorns and with large "INRI" nameplate just above His head inscribed using Cyrillic letters as "INЦI". His face is incredibly peaceful and humane, but is emitting rays of the Light Divine, the strength and the authority of the Most High. The reverse bears an inscription of the traditional Slavonic Orthodox prayer meaning "Save and Protect". The prayer reminds us that Christ the Savior is with us to save and protect a person wearing the cross from every evil and all enemies visible and invisible. The large soldered jump ring of the pendant bears a punch mark which displays the "925" print indicating the "sterling" purity. It has been confirmed using the silver acid test. The pendant has visual vintage appearance with signs of aging and wear that might include diminished quality of the artwork, deformations of its original shape, scratches, dents, and patches of discoloration/patina.
