Sonia Rykiel launched her luxury house in the Rive Gauche, Paris circa 1968 and soon became known as the "Queen of Knits" due to her technological and design innovations. In the early 1990s she launched a short-lived menswear collection that was her take on the modern, French gentleman. She has been celebrated throughout the fashion world for her genius, especially since her death in August, 2016. This sportcoat is a collector's item.
