Vintage Sterling Nymph, Cherub, Child, Boy riding a dragonfly

Description: Victorian or Art Nouveau designed Sterling Silver pin with lots of Patina. It is made from a stamping so it is hollow. It is vintage from around 1930's and the Sterling is not stamped but it has been tested. Please note that newer contemporary reproductions are stamped 925. Please examine the detail in the image of the pin I am selling. Reproductions of the original and pins which have been cleaned with abrasive silver polish over time have very blurred features. The features on my pin are still very crisp. Length is 2 inches long. Please see all my images. Judging from the part in the child's hair - in Victorian times little boys had hair that was parted on the side or had huge bangs. Girl's hair was parted in the middle. Therefore since this vintage silver brooch was obvious created off of a Victorian image the child is a Boy. ( I watched an entire YouTube video on determining the sex of a child in Victorian photos - lots of young children of both sexes wore dresses or sailor outfits, etc ) I never clean/polish vintage pieces as I leave that to the discretion of the buyer. However if you clean a vintage piece or polish it thereby altering it or removing the patina then I will consider it to be materially altered and I will charge a restocking fee if there is a return of the item.
