Description: This sitting Charlotte Weibull grandma doll making bobbin lace is from the parish or harad of Harjager in the province of Skane, Sweden. She is 6 1/2" tall, 2 3/4" across, and 3 3/4" in depth. Her apron is an authentic pattern from this Harad. This sort of costume is from the 18th to 19th centuries. These dolls are made with a wire frame, around which a foam material is wrapped for stuffing. The many details, as the lace making table, shoes and the sewn cloth parts of the costume are all hand made. This is an older doll, but very clean without flaws. This artist was very popular internationally from the 1950's to about the 1990's, but the dolls are still being sought after by numerous collectors.
