Description: 1970 Vanguard Studios Queen wall sculpture that can also be displayed free standing along a shelf or mantle. Brown tone with accents in burnt orange, black and gold. Vanguard did a series based on chess pieces, and this one is the queen. Could also be a series of sculptures based on Medieval times. Made of Vanathane, she appears to be carved wood, but is delightfully light weight at 1 lb. 9 oz. Dimensions: 13.5" tall by 10" wide by 3.75" deep. Her base is 7.75" across and 3.5" at widest point. Metal hook for hanging easily. Fully marked with metal plaque on back, and carved into base "Vanguard Studios, Inc." Condition: Overall very good vintage condition. Age appropriate wear, some light scratches etc. No big chips or gouges. She has one little impression on the left side of the top of her crown that looks like an air bubble popped leaving a small crater. Does not show from the front, only visible from side.
