Description: Here we have a unique collection of 4 vintage World War II era coloring books you see in the photo. I'll list each below describing condition - I collect and deal in old comics so I'll refer to that scale for grading but will also offer some detailed notes on each book. Here they are from left to right according the first picture. The second shot is actually the back covers of each of the books - they just happen to be identical to the front cover. Flying Forts was published by Merrill in 1944. The book itself is 10" X 15". The front page has a 5.5" tear from the right edge. There is coloring on 4 of 47 pages. It's in VG 4.0 condition overall. Flat, complete and tightly bound by both staples. Fighting Yanks was published by Saalfield and has no date. It's in great shape - a strong Fine/VF if we were just grading the covers. It's 64 pages long and only 1 page was colored. There was damage to one page as well, a circular tear. This book is 11" X 14" Betty Grable Paint Book from 1941 is 11" x 14 3/4" - published by Whitman. This one has quite a few pages colored but they are expertly colored - very cool. 24 of the 64 pages are colored. Structurally, the book is very sound a VG/FN. A super cool book. Boots And Her Buddies from 1943 is published by Saalfield. This one is 11" X 15" and shows slightly more wear than the others including a 1/3" tear at mid spine that goes through the book. It also has some dirt at the top area of the cover - it could probably be cleaned. up . . . The interior is 32 pages long and 10 of those pages are expertly colored, lovely and thoughtful work - the previous collector even put pieces of paper to protect the opposing pages from being colored.
