Description: ATH#231050 “Visions Of The Past” Sculpture carved from Utah Alabaster by Marvin Toya a very well known sculptor who happens to be from the Jemez Pueblo in New Mexico (Pueblo, Colorado, where Marvin travels to select locally quarried alabaster is only a few hours drive north of Sante Fe – I’ve made this drive numerous times – often detouring through to Taos which is a really neat town if you ever get the chance to visit) 6 ½” Tall overall 5 ½” of stone on top of a kind-of-triangular 1” wood base Marvin titled and signed this on the bottom of the base in red marker NOTE the etching he did on the back – and his signature is on the bottom right corner of the back. There are a few closed-fissures in the stone, but no cracks, chips, or repairs. There are two small rough spots on the top-back edge – they show up as white dots – jut enough to remove the surface polished, but not chips. It would not be an overstatement to say that Marvin is a “big time” Native American sculptor, having won so many, many awards, from the Heard Museum to the Sante Fe Indian Art shows (and it doesn’t get any better than to have those two venues on your resume) International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. ARIZONA TREASURE HUNTERS.
