Description: VTG Royal Winton 3 5/8" Breakfast Teapot & Lid , Tiger Lilly #5774, Ca 1940s, Light Green, Made in England, EXC Condition, Rare, Lovely! For your consideration is a mid-century one-cup "bedside" teapot in immaculate condition. Produced exclusively by Royal Winton, this piece is officially entitled "Honey Lilly" and is the smallest of the three sizes that were sold. It has a lovely light green color with pink, purple, yellow, and darker green accents and is painted with gold trim. A tiger lilly sits atop the lid, which on the inside reads "PAT. NO 301263." On the bottom is the maker's mark, noted as "ROYAL WINTON GRIMWADES MADE IN ENGLAND #5774." Faint crazing is present upon inspection of the lid and on a couple of small areas of the body, but all are very difficult to see. A few tiny dots of blemish inherent in the china production process are also present but completely inconsequential. Absolutely no chips, cracks, discoloration, or wear. Measures 3 5/8" tall (4 1/4" including the lid) x 3 5/8" wide. Tip of spout to tip of handle is 6 1/2". Empty weight is 9.5 oz. A beautiful, intricately detailed teapot that is hard-to-find and won't last long. Packed using gently recycled materials, insured and sent to USA addresses.
