She was born and raised in Morristown, New Jersey. In her Twenties she headed west to Oregon with her husband, three year old daughter and six week old puppy. After two years they answered the recruitment call for teachers in New South Wales, Australia arriving in the watershed year of 1975. She still lives in New South Wales on the South Coast and can be found most days daydreaming in her garden and gazing out to sea.
