Description: This auction is for an original 11" x 14" lobby card #5 from West Side Story starring Natalie Wood, Richard Beymer, Russ Tamblyn, Rita Moreno, George Chakiris and directed by Robert Wise and Jerome Robbins. The film was released toward the end of 1961 and won 10 Academy Awards a few months after release. While the card shows 1962 as the copyright in the bottom left corner, the National Screen Service number in the right corner shows 61/343 denoting it was the 343rd film released in 1961. This is the from the first set of lobby cards produced for the film and is considered the Academy Award version. The card is in very good condition with some pinholes and a light stain in the bottom border. I've included closeups. The color is vibrant and this scene is one of the most iconic scenes from the film. The card will be packaged well and shipped with insurance.
