Description: A beautiful collectible 4 stamp block set of U.S. postage stamps issued August 26th, 1970 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 19th amendment which recognized women's right to vote. The stamps were designed by Ward Brackett and feature a group of women suffragettes from 1920 and a woman voting in 1970. These stamps have never been used and are as fresh as the day they were sold at the Post Office over 50 years ago! Suitable for framing, they would make a great gift for anyone interested in the history of women's rights. See my other auctions for other stamp blocks of historical significance including a 75 year old block that honors Elizabeth Cady and the progress of women and another block featuring Susan B. Anthony issued in 1936! Shipping is $1.00 for first class mail. Additional stamp block auctions won, paid for in one COMBINED transaction and shipped at the same time are only 25 cents extra per auction (sheets and booklets not included), with a maximum shipping charge of $5.00, no matter how many auctions you win. Please pay for all of your auctions in one payment. All stamps are Mint Never Hinged. All payments are to be in US currency only. I send stamps out when I receive your payment or the day after if the mail has already gone out. Thanks for looking at my auction. If you have any questions, please email me before bidding
