Profusely illustrated throughout, splendid assortment of over 160 charming, active and detailed miniature key interest views from around the world. Publisher's cloth binding, gilt stamped title lettering & decoratively embossed cover designs. A beautiful Victorian design with world globes at the center topped by an eagle. Gilt remains bright, cover is clean and fresh looking, nicer than typical example. Probably mostly stored and untouched for the past 130+ years, not perfect but very nice indeed. Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Book is not new or in "new" condition. Binding gently age worn, mostly light or inoffensive signs of handling and time but nothing severe or unsightly, book remains overall attractive as an object. Paper is gently toned, slight 2.5" split along one of the inherently fragile fold-lines of the accordion text block (neatly closed on reverse with archival tape), still clean, fresh, tight, sound internally. Still attractive on the shelf. The book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in overall nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws which may be present seem easy to overlook or forgive.
