Description: Wow! This vintage earthenware teapot, made by Price Brothers in England, would be a stunning addition to any tea lover or teapot lovers collection. It has a lovely shiny gold leaf design that stands out against the dark background, black on the bottom, navy on the top. There are also small red dot flowers, with a blue dot in the middle decorating the pot under the gold band circling the pot, and red swags of dots decorating the top part. There are a few pictures with the flash on, where the blue on top shows up more, and taken so you can see inside the pot more easily. This teapot holds 4 cups and stands 5 & 1/2 inches tall to the top of the knob on the lid, and is about 9 inches from the tip of spout to the handle. The gold backstamp on this pot, started being used in 1934. The teapot is in excellent vintage shape, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There is some rub wear to the gold, especially on the finial of the lid, and some wear on the red and blue dot flowers. Price Brothers made earthenwares, in Burslem England from 1903-1961 and then they became Price & Kensington in early 1962.
