Description: For sale here is a very nice WW2 Soviet Russian SSH40 or M40 Steel Combat Helmet Reissued as a Post War Hungarian M50 Variant. This is complete with full liner, and partial leather chin strap. Based on rivet placement, this appears to be a Russian produced shell. The exterior of the shell shows some wear, age, soiling, scratches, scuffs, and paint loss. There is no emblem on the front. The shell has no major dents or dings and the paint loss is minor. The underside shows soiling and age. There is no visible stamping. The leather chin strap has stiffened and the hole side has broken. The buckle is present. The canvas liner and drawstring show age, soiling, and wear, but are solid. Inside, everything is here, and shows a fair amount of wear with nor major damage.
