Description: These are buttons taken off from old uniforms that were no longer serviceable. They are used, but in good condition. These are the smaller buttons that were use on the summer cotton uniforms. They are just over 1/2 inch in diameter. If you need the larger buttons used on the winter wool uniforms, see my other listing. They have a star on each side of the button, and have the acronym U.S.A. (for US Army). I believe they are made of zinc, and have a dark patina. A few had some corrosion (on zinc it is white), so I soaked them in vinegar and brushed them off. Those are the light-colored ones that look like new buttons. I assume that most people want the buttons to match the patina ones on their uniform, so that is what I will send unless you ask for the cleaned buttons.
