Description: WWII Era German S84/98 Bayonet w/Scabbard for the K98 Mauser Rifle Bayonet - Marked: S.178G - Very Nice Condition Up for sale is a WWII Era German S84/98 Bayonet with Scabbard for the K98 Mauser Rifle. The bayonet is marked: S.178G on the side of the blade and 5516 over l on the other, see photos. The edge of the blade is unmarked. The blade shows no evidence of excessive sharpening. The blade is blued with very minor finish and scabbard wear. It has the brown wooden grip panels. The grips are in Nice Condition, one small crack in the grips (see photo) or chips, just the normal minor dings and handling marks. The pommel has the German eagle proof marks. The scabbard is in Nice condition as well, no dents, see photo. No rust, or pitting. The scabbard is marked: W.K.C. 1939 and 2950 over b. It has the German eagle proof on the tip of the scabbard.
